This video is very outdated, pearl divers now produce 6 not 3 consumer goods and although they are not affected by later game bonuses that artisans might get, they are a free job and don't require mineral input or an industrial district. This makes anglers quite powerful. Catalytic processing now produces more alloys per job and at an advantageous resource exchange rate. it is relatively strong on its own, but paired with anglers, it is really powerful. You can spam forges for alloys, pearl divers will provide consumer goods for free and you will never run out of food input.

unironically the exact problem I had with slaves was their freedom. It was required to per the galactic community request. moment I conformed I started lacking resources and they revolted even with better standards of living. I other words I think the galactic community is the problem because I've seen a lot of nations rise and fall assumable because of reformation requirements.

Biologically synthetic ascending just makes you into a normal machine empire which is yk, not that crazy considering you could just be a normal machine empire and do this

Yeah, I seriously think Ascensionist should be S Tier for one reason. You start the game with an agenda that gives you 25% to Terrestrial Sculpting tech. The ability to start terraforming practically from the start of the game is huge! You can turn every nearby planet into a continental world before you even build your first colony ship!

Thing is: these should be looked through the lense of how good the corresponding civic is. Example: meritocracy is S tier and death cults are A tier in civics, but both are B tier in councilors. So wood up (😏) with that?

I wouldn't say that this empire is the tallest. I knew a guy who was 6'8 and he is way taller.

Im currently plsying a rouge servitor "precurssour run" (Basically aside from fallen empires and maybe khans no other empires exceot a lot of primitives that elevate themselves ...). I love roleplaying my bots as legitimatly loving all life (even ressurecting dead things with the mechromancer trait) and want to preserve and uplift all races...though are hilariously condesending about it in their eyes giving "choice" thats not really a choice at all but rather not really...they are good and merciful...but struggle to understand that pushing people towards their "ideal" society is maybe evil in its oen right... Everyone is happy, safe, and enjoys a good life...become a subject empire to eventually be intergrated..."we got you handled" So far...1/3rd of the entire galaxy is under my bots "consideration cooperstive" 1/3rd are subjects that make up the galactic council...and the rest is unoccupied space and the pesky empires that havent came around to the truth yet... Oh and primitives still scattered throughout...will uplift and modify them after, if they join early on their own good for them...but atm i need to make the galaxy a "great" place for them to arrive into.

I realize this video must have taken an immense amount of time and energy but I need more like this. The length is great, I learned a lot about Stellaris watching it, and its a narrative masterpiece. I've owned Stellaris for years but never played it because the task just seemed so daunting but after watching this I have actually put in the effort to play. Thank you.

with the cosmic storms DLC suggestions about primitives possibly being knocked back to a pre-electric age by cosmic storms, i would say it should probably only happen once, then when they eventually build back up, they remember what happened last time and apply various types of shielding to their electronics, which if you're observing them, could lead to one of those techs you get from observing pre-FTLs

I got Irassians last game and got a really nice arc furnace on their home system.

Remnant is my favorite. It gives you an RP justification for attacking fallen empires (they could have been the ones who destroyed your previous civilization).

Ive done 3 plays at this point, giving up before year 1 in 3 different countries. Portugal, US, then Japan. I need a small country to start with. Something easy to learn with. Portugal was almost perfect, but the spread out colonies made it more confusing.
